Before I post in the bugs forum, I want to poll the community to see if anyone else is having this issue. Three of our players last night, myself included, had strange discolorations appear as we moused over sections of our character sheets. We are all using chromebooks that have updated to Chrome OS 69. When we brought it up, the two players using Win10 machines had no issues, and it looked fine on mobile (Android). I had no trouble before the update, and I suspect it is something to do with Chrome OS 69.
So when I'm using my character sheet on D&D Beyond, it glitches when I try to click on the tabs for my character's equipment or skills. I'm sure if it's my Chromebook or the system but would like yall input of it.
Glitches as in you get the beholder? If so, try removing any homebrew you have. If that fixes it, add the homebrew one by one to identify the one that is causing problems.
If if you mean glitching in some other way, please be more specific.
That is .... very odd and not something I've heard of anyone else experiencing.
I've flagged this as a bug for developer attention, as the team strive to ensure that the whole of D&D Beyond functions correctly on all modern browsers.
Just had a thought that it might be the very helpful extensions by excellent users here that I make use of. I disabled both Beyond Help and D&D Beyond Interaction, but the behavior persisted.

I was trying to duplicate this on a Chrome 69 Chromebook, and was not able to for the few character sheets I tested out. Do you have any specific characters that it happens on frequently or any more specific steps to reproduce? I tried hovering over and clicking the different main box tabs (Spells, Equipment, Actions, etc...) and could not get this to reproduce.
Any additional information that would help me reproduce would be appreciated.
I have been messing with this, I changed the screen resolution, disabled extension, changed frames and backgrounds of characters. It is happening with all of my characters and if I look at other people's characters. My wife has an identical chromebook tab, and she has no issues, even when we are viewing the same characters.
edit: Forgot to mention that sometimes this happens when I open characters, but sometimes it comes up when switching between any of the "Action, Spells, Equipment, etc." tabs. and then disappears when switching tabs again.
One detail I left out. My chromebook is a Samsung Chromebook Plus (ARM processor, I'm pretty sure, if that matters.) Maybe it handles graphics differently from others? Werhonas' screenshots are exactly what I am seeing too. It happens with all of my characters, although some are worse than others. Gilvar Frostbeard is one of the worst.
Unfortunately we have tried this on Chromebooks on our side and cannot reproduce the issue. Based on our research, it seems to indicate this could be hardware or driver-based, and we are not able to do something to address on our side.
We will continue to monitor whether any new information comes to light that could potentially impact the situation, but as it stands for now we are at an impasse.
We can confirm that the issue is not present on newer Chrome OS devices - I'm sorry I don't have better news on this for you.
I appreciate that you checked it out. I know you all have some pretty big fish already frying, and I imagine we chromebook users are not that big a segment of the user population. I'm crossing my fingers that the next update to Chrome OS will help me out. I didn't notice anything untoward until the recent update, so maybe it will pass.
Okay, got some new info. I went to the Play Store and downloaded a couple browsers to try this using them. Neither Firefox Focus nor Chrome Beta android apps show any of these symptoms. So that's good news. Gonna try to clear browsing data and see if that helps.
Okay, one last bit of information: For me, this behavior occurs whenever I mouse over one of the tabs, gears, or buttons or words. For instance, the proper behavior when I mouse over the word Saving Throws is for a tooltip to appear that says Manage. Nothing at all happens when I mouse over the word Skills. (Or click on the gear beside it, for that matter.) When I mouse over the gear beside Saving Throws, I get the strange color change. Often it is just over the gear icon. When I mouse over the words, Actions, Spells, etc., that whole area gets the visual artifacts - all the way down to the sub-tabs (All, Inventory, etc. under the Equipment tab, that distance, regardless of the tab I click.)
It has something to do with the visual effects the mouse-overs normally cause. Normally, when I mouse over the grey Equipment tab, for instance, it changes to black. Somehow, my chromebook is seeing that as the time it needs to show me popart. :-)
Info from me - it appears that it is occuring on 32 bit processors, but not the 64 bit ones (my Chromebook was having the issue and it's the 32 bit Samsung Chromebook Plus, Partner was not with the 64 bit Samsung Chromebook Pro).
I updated to the beta channel, and was still getting the issue, but then there was a Beta Chrome OS update and it appears to have fixed the issue. Since it occurred after a Chrome OS update, Im having a feeling that it something Google are doing that is messing with the pages.
Edit: When I was having the issue, I downloaded the Opera mini app to run instead, no issues there (so its 100% chrome and chrome OS related), but the lack of zoom was killing me so I struggled through for the few weeks.
Sweet! Thanks, Sorce! I expect this will resolve itself as the updates come down the pike from Google. In the meanwhile, I can use the Chrome android app. :-)
Glad to hear it's not just me. The issue I am having is the background glitches out and turns to like a strange shade of blue and purple. I am also only experiencing this on my Chromebook. Image here

This is still a thing for me. Only in the character sheet. Anyone else having this?

Thanks! Some extra information: my machine is a Samsung Chromebook Plus.
I have been having the same issues on my Acer chromebook tab 10. If I go through the tabs and back to actions it usually goes away.

I'll throw in my chips that my ASUS Chromebook is not having this issue. So strange!

Well, shoot! That didn't help. But it won't bother me to use the Chrome Beta app at all.
