So something I noticed that could be useful. If you have weapons equipped, you can customization to them with stats, names, and notes. You can't with items, however (nor can you customize weapons straight from the items section at all, actually).
The main use besides naming items could be for things such as labeling ammunition as silvered.

This is probably better listed in the character sheet mega thread as this refers to the listing in the items section. Just for next time.
But on this point they have said they are currently working on updating the character sheet, apart of which they have mentioned they are trying to add in the ability to customise all parts of the sheet and hopefully this is included because it is a great suggestion and will be very helpful.

Yeah, I think in my half-sleep state I misunderstood that this isn't the item listing on the character sheet, but the item listing itself. I don't know if moderators can move the post, or if I should repost there.
How do I create a magic item that allows me to add an attack bonus modifier to unarmed strikes? I just want an attack bonus modifier if possible.
Inside the unarmstrike of the attack section of a character sheet you should see a customise section you can expand, this section should allow you to add a modifier and should hopefully be a solution rather than creating a magic item
Mostly having to do with carry weight. I'm playing a campaign now where the characters have successfully absconded with a dragon egg, and only one is strong enough to carry it. In the item description it is listed as 180lbs, but not under the actual weight.
Also adding range stats to ranged weapons that are equipped.
It would be very useful to have treasure in the Items listing or it's own listing. Treasure such as various gem stones, art work, etc. Or provide for the capability to create them and assign a value.
So I was wondering if there was a way for a DM to hide information/modifiers on special homebrew items, the benefit being specifically for things like Cursed items. If there isn't already, there should be a why to hide/reveal the information/modifiers relating to the curse.
Of course, you could just always edit the item to include the curse information/modifiers later. But it was just a thought.
I'd love to be able to search the item description text. Right now, we can search the item name, and use various filters, but if we are looking for a specific effect... we have to resort to Google.
For instance... try to find the Ioun Stone of Mastery without using "Ioun" or "Stone". Search for "Mastery" - no luck. Search for "proficiency bonus" - no luck. Filter for *Bonus - Proficiency Bonus* - no luck.

You are talking about using the Items, Magic Items listing, correct? You are right, because the search there is based purely on name, and "mastery" is just in the description of the parent "Ioun Stone" page, it doesn't currently show up that way. Arguably, yes, a "search description" checkbox or text box there would be nice.
If you try the global search, however, (in the black bar at the top of every page) you should have more luck. There your example does work for me; it just returns so many results you may need to filter them down. Using your example, search for "mastery", and then filter to just show the results that are items by clicking on the Items icon. That will narrow things down to 5 items with "mastery" in the text, the fifth being Ioun Stone (with Ioun Stone of Mastery being one of the variants).
If you are talking about searching for items when adding equipment to a character, Ioun Stone of Mastery comes up right away (at least if you have purchased the DMG for D&D Beyond).
It would be nice when we search for an item, if that item showed it's listed price. For example, a potion of healing costs 50gp, I should be able to see the price of it when I search for the item.

where are you searching for items that have prices assigned to them (read: not magical items) and not seeing the price listed? The equipment listing has prices listed.

I just noticed that the Sunsword from CoS doesn't link to the sun blade even though it's description mentions it directly.

Yeah I thought of this idea, but I was just wondering if there was a way to do it through the item. Thanks!

Not sure if it’s been mention, but Vicious Weapon has this, and it shouldn’t:
Proficiency with a longsword allows you to add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll for any attack you make with it.

When I buy the DM's guide, that should unlock firearms as an equipment type.
