I've got some feedback for the Character Builder in particular:
1. Race - Are Aasimar in the PHB? I didn't think they were.
2. Class - It'd be nice if the primary abilities showed up in more places than just the dialog for picking the class. (including the Abilities tab) - For multi-classing, instead of saying "Prerequisites not met", it'd be nice to see what the prerequisites are. Then just put an X or something there if it's not met.
3. Abilities - It'd be nice if this had a reference to the different skills that each of the abilities affect.
4. Description - It'd be nice if there were name randomizers based on race. - Many of the PHB backgrounds are missing. - Customizing backgrounds should allow for 2 skills + 2 languages OR 2 skills + 2 tools OR 2 skills + 1 language + 1 tool. - Customizing backgrounds should also be allowed from scratch rather than picking one to start. - It'd be nice if physical characteristics showed suggestions based on the race you picked. - Suggested characteristics should show up in the dialog for editing each of the respective characteristics, so I don't need to close the dialog to refer to the suggestions.
5. Equipment - The filter under "Add Items" is weak. For instance, to find "longsword" or "shortsword", I can't type in "sword". - This entire equipment section should have some option for adding starting items based on my class. (Putting the starting equipment under "More" is hardly helpful.)
Overall - This entire "form" seems very clunky. It "gets the job done", but it's a struggle unless I have everything fleshed out for what I want the character to be. - I'd like to see some flag set for a character being Adventurers League legal. - It'd be nice to see some "quick build" option to customize a character without diving into most of the details. (Race + Class + Ability Scores + Background + Starting Equipment + Spells) I see that you can make a recommended build then edit it, but this seems lackluster and is a clunky way to do things.
I just tried the character builder and noticed some annoying stuff:
I had the 4 wizard spell slots, but I could only learn two of the first level spells. The other two spells of my character I had to input manually in the spellbook afterwards.
There could be a way to select the Personal Characteristics instead of having to copy and past them. Rolling for them would be nice also.
There could an automatic selection feature for the starting equipment also. When selecting one of the "packs" like the explorer pack, the builder could insert each equipment in separate instead of just the pack. Also all items on the packs could be available to insert manually or inserted automatically in separate like the "knife" or "quill" and so on.
Did you buy the Player's Handbook from the marketplace? I don't have those issues with spells but I own the material.
I have only the physical version of TPH, but at least the SRD spells should work fine in the future I think...
In general the Print export needs a lot of work. The Portrait doesn't carry over, text in the boxes gets cut off, some features are not explained, etc. Hopefully this is something they revamp in the future (given that the digital platform still has notable bugs, I imagine the export issues are a low priority and I'm fine with that)

It's also important for the print to work in case DnDBeyond site ever goes down unexpectedly or internet cuts out for people.

The current export to PDF is a temporary solution, as it was highly requested. It uses an existing form-filled PDF document and feeds the data to it from your character.
There will be a better version available in the future.
What this means is - if you want additional Feats, Backgrounds etc to be available in the character builder, you need to purchase the Player's Handbook from the Marketplace.
I've just created my first charater using the tools (moving the soon to be defunct OrcPub), some comments.
- The general experience is rather intimidating, with a lot of text is overloading and could be presented a lot better.
- Why isn't the starting equipment (based on race, class and background) added the the sheet automaticly
- Spells seems to be hidden
- The final charater sheet is confusing and contains infomation is strange places or useless infomation (do you really care that "Dwarven Combat Training - You have proficiency with the battleaxe, handaxe, light hammer, and warhammer." when your proficiency already lists them?
- Leveling up is a non-event. There should be a pop-up something saying something like "You're Level 3. You now have access to Level 2 spells etc" At the moment, the effects of leveling up seems to be hidden
- The printed-out version of the sheets is missing key infomation to allow players to use it in a game, for example for my level 3 Dwarf Cleric my 'Features' are listed as: [square brackets are my comments]
Cleric: - Bonus Proficiency [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Disciple of Life [what does this mean in game?] - Divine Domain [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Hit Points [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Proficiencies [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Spellcasting [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Channel Divinity [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Channel Divinity: Preserve Life [what does this mean in game?] Racial Traits: - Darkvision [what does this mean in game?] - Dwarven Resilience [what does this mean in game?] - Dwarven Combat Training [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Tool Proficiency [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet] - Stonecunning [what does this mean in game?] - Dwarven Toughness [Don't care.- effect of feature already applied elsewhere on sheet]
- The lack of a spell sheet/spell cards in the printed version of the charater sheet is a shame

- Please can we have the ability to purchase more Charater storage (without a subscription), I'd happily pay $10 for 5-10 more charater sheets.
- The ability to share (read-only) versions of the sheets to people would be a plus.
Forgive the bluntness of the comments, I can see DDB becoming a great resourse - and this is my 2 cents on how it can be brought closer to reality.
Ideally - look at how OrcPub designed thier charater wizards and presents infomation, he got it mostly right.....even better do an aquisition-hire to bring his hard work and talent into DDB.

I numbered the main things so it's easier for me to respond, see quote.
1. Overall character sheet and builder is being worked on currently.
2. A lot of people have asked about his. A lot of DMs do either starting equipment or starting gold. The best suggestion for this fix on here was for there to be an option between the two, or neither.
3. If you mean on the sheet itself, I'm not quite sure what you mean, as they're in plain view. On the builder, yes, there have been a few complaints about that. Personally, I find the spells menu being on the same "Class" tab as, well, the class, logical and perfectly fine.
4,6. Exported character sheets are also being worked on, and have had a lot of good suggestions on what to do for stuff such as class abilities, placement, etc.
5. I agree. There's been lots of input on the leveling up, and I personally feel that it should be more interactive as well.
7. There is a spell sheet. However, more info on it would be nice. I feel it should have the ranges, damage dice, etc. of the spells themselves as well.
A couple of things I have noticed playing with the character builder...
Warlock eldritch invocation Book of Ancient Secrets does not work, it's supposed to allow you to add 2 ritual spells from any class list to your warlock spell list to be cast ONLY as rituals but the spell selections don't show up anywhere.
The current/next level XP at the top of the sheet is impossible to read unless you have a magnifying glass...
Overall pretty impressed with the builder, a work in progress sure, but not bad for a first attempt. Might be wise to check out how the competition handle the character builder and take some cues from them...
I noticed some of the background suggested traits seem...incorrect. Seemed like the Courtier was displaying guild like content. And why can't I select the traits with a one click option. Would love that one click for the starting gear also.

Use the tables for the guild artisan background in the Player’s Handbook as the basis for your traits and motivations, modifying the entries when appropriate to suit your identity as a courtier.

After purchasing the PHB content and recreating my 10th level high elf abjurer wizard, I have some specific feedback.
1. In general, I'd like to see a short summary of race and class abilities when exported to the PDF character sheet. For instance, not just "Arcane Ward", but, "Arcane Ward: 1/long rest after casting abjuration spell, absorbs X hp". "X" would autocalculate.
2. On both the digital sheet and the PDF, have checkboxes for race and class abilities as they're used. Specifically for Arcane Ward, a checkbox that it's been activated, and either a series of checkboxes or just an empty field to track how many hit points it has remaining.
3. Export the entire spellbook to the PDF, s'il vous plait.
4. When displaying spells in the PDF, display an "R" if they're Rituals, and a "C" if they require Concentration.
5. An empty notes page where players can type in anything they want. Maybe with a spreadsheet-like grid for people who like to track things that way. Yes, we could open up notes in a separate app, but how nice it would be if everything were integrated?
As things stand, I can't quite recommend people take the plunge and pay for content on DnDBeyond... but I'm impressed with your team's responsiveness, and I'm cautiously optimistic that usability will improve over the next few weeks.
I couldn't find this suggestion already. While it is pretty easy to level-up/down a character, I'd like the ability to clone an existing character so I can work on the duplicate (maybe take it a different direction) without effecting the original.

2. This is already possible in the Limited Use section I believe.
5. There is a notes tab where you can enter details as long as you want. I've put my back story there on one of my characters.

I also would like more information on the spells section on the pdf export, as well as if we modify the export that it stays for the downloaded version like if we add a picture for the character. but for spells things like range, damage, components ritual would be wonderful.
2. Sorry, should have been more clear: I specifically want that checkbox (and a short description) to appear on the exported PDF.
5. Some, but not all, of those notes export to the PDF. (I haven't gotten the "Other" field to appear on my exported PDF at all; I ended up putting all that data under "Possessions: Holdings".) Also, the PDF resizes to tiny text if the notes are extensive. A separate page, ideally with some spreadsheet functionality, would give players plenty of room to write what they want, at a reasonable font size when exported.

The character sheet (print) should list bonus actions and reactions, usually, i put these in "features and traits"

Aasimar are not in the PHB.
Aasimar are also in the DMG as an example of homebrewing a race.
D&D Beyond can be used for free and contains information from the following "free to use" sources published by Wizards of the Coast: D&D 5th edition SRD , D&D 5th edition Basic Rules and Elemental Evil Companion.
Content from other sources, such as the Player's Handbook, Dungeon Master's Guide or Monster Manual will need to be purchased from the Marketplace, or accessed via another user sharing content with you via their Master Tier Subscription.
What this means is - if you want additional Feats, Backgrounds etc to be available in the character builder, you need to purchase the Player's Handbook from the Marketplace.
