- When there is too much text in the personality traits box, the text isn't in the box anymore. The text should autofit the box. This is probably the case for all boxes?
- It list all proficencies in one list ordered alphabetically. It would be nice if skills, weapons, etc. had separate lists.
- There should be an extra page for wildshapes (druids) and beast companions (ranger), preferably with options to autofill the information needed.
I like that you can see the spell attack modifier and the sace DC if any in the spelllist, makes it a lot easier for some players who never know their modifier or DC.
Given that irregular proficiency handling isn't too uncommon, perhaps a couple of alternative treatments? Filled dot for "proficient", side line ( / ) for "half proficient" like Jack of All Trades, and perhaps something else (a star? A cross over a filled dot?) for "Expertise'd in this"?
Small dot in middle of bubble for half proficiency; filled bubble for proficiency; filled, circled bubble for double proficiency.
What I'd like, however, is for the list of "proficiencies" in the box at the bottom left to only include "other proficiencies" (as it's labelled, too :p ). I don't need to see that I'm proficient in "Athletics" in two places, the dot is filled. The whole thing over there, however, prevents me from getting reminded at a glance if I'm proficient in Thieves' Tools. Or the flute.
Agreed most vehemently.
Quoting for emphasis, on both points, but more emphatically the first point. For half proficiency, I'd use the half-filled-bubble to indicate half proficiency, but the smaller fill-dot inside the bubble is also good.
From my POV, this is an excellent first step, and it seems obvious to me that it mirrors the format of the official 5E character sheets. People have been clamoring for the PDF export functionality, and as with the campaign manager, Curse has gotten it to us in a preliminary form. I'm confident that they will listen to our feedback as always and continue to improve it, adding as they go.
Form-fillable PDF is great, and not what I expected for some reason. It allows us to add or remove things as desired, customizing things even more before printing. I, too, would like to see more info on abilities eventually, rather than just a list. MorePurpleMoreBetter's sheets are the model here - so much info, all on the pages in front of you. I am eager to see what variants you come up with though. Certainly an AL-focused version, and one that is more simple and kid/newbie-friendly would be nice, IMO.
Keep up the fantastic work guys, this is shaping up wonderfully. Counting the days to launch!
That was quick! HartlessD20 fixed whatever my problem was with the 404. The customer service and quick response of the Curse team has been phenomenal during this beta. They have been plenty open about their plans and goals as far as I am concerned. This thing just keeps better and better. Thanks, guys!
A patch has been deployed to fix the 403 issue, for generating an PDF character sheet, that some users were seeing for their characters that were in a campaign.
We also fixed an issue for a small subset of users that would get a 404 when trying to generate a PDF character sheet.
There are still some circumstances where you may see a 403 or 404, and those instances are by design. If you try to export an PDF character sheet, for the same character, more than once within a 10 second window, you will receive a 403 Forbidden status, as we throttle PDF generation.
The link you receive to view your PDF character sheet (the url in the new tab that opens) is only good for 15 minutes. After that time frame, the PDF is removed from our servers. It is intended that you would Save and/or Print the PDF from the open tab, not use it as a file repository. So, if you leave the tab open for more than 15 minutes and refresh the page, you will receive a 404 Not Found status. If that occurs, just generate a new PDF.
Please continue to provide feedback. This is just an initial release for this feature, and we will be expanding upon it in the future. Your feedback helps to shape the product and the entire team appreciates it immensely!
Awesome! I asked earlier whether it would be possible to export to the Adventurers League character sheet in the future. Thoughts? Thanks, again!

I can't go into a ton of details, but AL support in the platform is something we will be working on.
Understood, and thanks!

As an aside, I've got to say, the responsiveness of the dev team is phenomenal, and this is an excellent web app even in beta--you've earned my cash as soon as I can sign up for a subscription.
Just wanted to point out some sort of math error when exporting the character sheet to PDF. Online character sheet shows a +15 to hit with my attack spells. On the PDF it shows a +11 in the "Attacks & Spellcasting" box but in the spells list it correctly shows the +15 next to the name of the spell. It's probably somehow missing the Robe of the Archmagi and Staff of the Magi which I have set to equipped and attuned.
As a side note, unrelated to the PDF, is there any plans to make magic items like Staff of the Magi, which says in its description "This staff can be wielded as a magic quarterstaff that grants a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with it", to actually show up as an equipped weapon that can be used for the melee attacks?
Hartless is just a name. His heart is there... and it's a biggun.
I don't doubt that he has a big heart. Clearly he laments the fact that he is deerless ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hart_(deer) ). It takes a man with a big heart to miss his hart. ;p
Looks like the only bug I can find in it so far is that when you export the sheet, all the skills are ticked as proficient. The totals are tallied properly, they just all have the bubble filled in.

Yep, the same problem here.
That happens for Bards due to their Jack of all Trades ability. I believe this will be changed in the future to avoid confusion.
Good point. What I need is printability. I don't want everyone on their phones the whole session, I have to tell some players off for that as is.
Hi everybody.
Some small things I found in the PDF:
- When there is too much text in the personality traits box, the text isn't in the box anymore. The text should autofit the box. This is probably the case for all boxes?

The update works so I can now view my player who is in a campaign, but I found another issue, it might just be me though.
For my cleric, the spell sheet only lists the spells that I have prepared and not all the spells he knows, and the prepared dot isn't filled in.
Since Clerics 'know' all their spells, shouldn't they all be listed and the prepared ones filled in, with the 'always prepared' spells highlighted?
OR I'm way off base then nevermind.

I love the export to PDF option and I would love to be able to export the descriptions of all the prepared spells.

When I added Ball Bearings and Caltrops to my equipment it displays:
Ball Bearings (bag of 1,000)(1000)
Caltrops(bag of 20)(20)
