Kelrah, upon returning, tossed the rapier to Gwyn. "Glad to see that our sleeping swashbuckler is awake. Here's a nice present for ya. Found it in one of the tents, and seeing as how you're the only one who uses this kind of blade, I thought you might want to have a look at it," the Aasimar quipped, before evenly doling out the 160 GP to the party. A few moments later, he had the oxen and aurochs he found hitched to two wagons roped together, ready to move it back to town as soon as the Star was loaded on.
After nearly half an hour of work, the party manages to get the star onto the wagon setup and begins to return to Chynurrorth. After two and a half days they finally make it back to the town, where they find the mayor waiting, for them. She looks at the group, confused for a second, before she starts to speak. Beside here stands a dark figure.
"Only three of you made it? And you met someone on your journey? Did you meet him before or after the orcs? Come back to my office and we'll have this sorted out. By the way, this is Kyriel-Mar. Since you left, he approached me about the orcs, and when I said I'd already sent some adventurers, he asked to join you in future endeavours. It's up to you of course, but I promised to at least let him meet you if you returned."

The Sparrow nodded in agreement with Kelrah's confirmation. "Truth be told, the orcs weren't the most troublesome foes we encountered during the mission." He turned toward Kyriel-Mar and couldn't help but think that the genasi had an air of distrust about him. "Given what happened on the field, I cannot help but believe that future endeavors will indeed be necessary. In that regard, I have no qualms with having an extra pair of hands ready for when the time comes. Especially a pair that seems as capable as you do."
Kryiel-Mar dipped his head and said softly, "Kryiel-Mar." A soft meow came from behind him, and a small cat drifted around toward the front. Kryiel-Mar made a gesture and the cat hopped up into his arms. He scratched the little creature behind the ear. "This is Silence." He observed the group before him from beneath the hood of his cloak with pressed lips. About the only thing absolutely clear was the ashen color to his skin. His eyes were completely hidden in the darkness of his hood, although they could easily be felt as he drifted across each of the members of the group.
"Hm, mystic, rogue, warlock, sorcerer...?" Kyriel-Mar mused. "Should be interesting." He turned toward the mayor. "Very well. Thank you, madam," he says utterly polite, but otherwise emotionless.
"It is Kyriel-Mar," Kyriel-Mar corrected calmly. He turned to regard the half-elven sorcerer critically, although a face in which you cannot see the eyes might be disturbing to others. "A friend? Maybe. We have yet to see."
With the brief introductions at a close, the mayor leads the group to her office, where she opens her safe and provides a bag of gold.
"That's 450 gold there. The remaining payment for those who got their down-payment before, and the full payment for the one who joined them along the way. As much as I'd like to provide additional money for Kyriel-Mar, he technically hasn't aided in the public service this payment is for. If you decide among yourselves to share it, then there's nothing I can do to stop you doing with the money what you will."

"According to my calculations, if the share is to be split equally amongst us, that should be 150 gold each. But I believe some people *cough* *cough* suffer some post-death trauma stress and would require a bit more money as 'compensation' for our loss..." Kelrah stared at Roberta as he accepted his payment of 150 gold. "I'm sure it'll get better, like being dead did." Turning to the rest of the party, he announced, "I'm going to go stock up on gear and the like."
"That's supposed to be one hundred to you, Jener, and Gywn, Roberta. You got the other fifty gold before you left town, remember. Anyway, I saw you brought one of those stars that've been falling down to town. I take it, you're going to take it into a town or city? I've heard blacksmiths are paying well for them, and scientists are paying even more."
Maeralya takes on a hushed tone as she brings up the star, with an expression showing both awe and fear.

Kelrah raised an eyebrow. "Scientists, you say? Never really met any of them, but if they're paying well..." He glanced at the rest of the party, seeing if they had any input as to the fate of the Star.
At this point, Maeralya speaks once again, after looking in a notebook.
"Oh dear. I forgot, but I have a meeting here, very soon. I'm so sorry, but you'll have to leave my office now. You should decide what you want to do with that star of yours, and head off by tomorrow I think. I can't help but think that the star will bring us bad luck. You'll have better luck with blacksmiths in Peoldrientioss, and better luck with scientists in Sedessan."
With this, the mayor opens the door, and you all file out, moving to the location where the star you claimed waits for you.

"Do you think the scientists will pay more for it? I mean, they should have access to funds for their research, right?" Kelrah suggested, walking around the outside of the Star.
"Doubtful. You ever met a scientist? They'd love to get their hands on this kind of stuff," Kelrah said, placing a hand on the Star. "Gwyn, Sparrow, what do you two think?" Spotting their new party member, he grinned. "Kyriel, your input counts two. You're part of the group now."
Kelrah, upon returning, tossed the rapier to Gwyn. "Glad to see that our sleeping swashbuckler is awake. Here's a nice present for ya. "The name's Kelrah Einwam," the Aasimar said, extending his hand to the mayor. "And it was before the orcs."
