Meanwhile, the gargoyle that downed Angel quickly flies off in search of another target. Seeing Rip tangling with the other gargoyles, the one in the flight swoops down to tackle the halfling and hold him down:

The wizard once again pops out of existence in a cloud of mist, reappearing on the far side of the hillock. As he teleports, he chants a spell and disappears completely in a shimmer of arcane energy. You can no longer see him anywhere...
