The mounted soldier and Arndol the peddler watch you depart down the crowded street.

About a minute later, after discussing things a bit, the wagon pulls up alongside the storefront. Two well-dressed, well-built humans stand outside the wood-and-glass doors. Further on down the road, you see a team of humans and elves pulling a wagonload full of thick pelts into the neighboring warehouse. 

He pulls hood back up, "not my job to change people. And if a ranger wanted a bear poorly he'd kill a bear."

//when ink mentioned a delivery earlier I assumed he meant the harnesses but our notes say those go to Noaner's  Hold. Hopefully that's not behind us.... I'm not aware of any deliveries or contacts here.//

"Gentlemen, your peer out of the Triboar location mentioned that I might be able to find a Ruby of the War Mage here. And we could possibly use a resupply as well."

 Flint has heard of the waterbaroness by reputation a couple times; she was described as a "shrewd negotiator" by one, and as a "vindictive old shrew" by another.

"Oy, do you all mind if I try and trade those scrolls for the gem? It'd allow me a bit more freedom between weapons and spellcasting."

When Ink gets a response, he'll go in the shop. 

"Excuse me sir, but i heard tell of refugees from local settlements. would you know where they would be, or any place meant to keep track of them?"

"Go fer  it Ink, s' long as ye got 'em in yer  spellbook ah  see'na  reason not ta barter 'em."

Inside the shop, there is quite a lot of activity. Iron lampstands and rustic chandeliers softly illuminate the wood-panelled interior, and several aproned workers move quickly across the shop floor carrying large large boxes and odd-sized packages. The room is surrounded by a beautiful, U-shaped countertop. On display behind the counter are travel garments of varying materials, adventuring gear and tools, and a number of hunting implements. 

An elf clerk stands behind a counter off to the left, checking what looks to be a register. 

"Wonderful shop you have here..." Ink then proceeds to tell him of the positive experience had at the Triboar franchise, the recommendations received there and inquires about the Ruby of the War Mage... He also asks if the peddler Arndol is on the up and up. 

The elf clerk replies, "Oh, Arndol? Nice old guy. We commission a lot of merchandise from him."

"In fact, your item request sounds exactly up Arndol's alley. Let me get your order started, what was your name?" He grabs a quill & ink bottle.

"Ah, well then - I go by the name Ink, so I suppose that'll do. What's the average turnaround? I only ask because technically we're just passing through. Also, any idea on price?"

// Would Ink have a base idea on how much each of the scrolls would be worth for bartering purposes? Int Check 17, add 3 if arcana/history. //

Ink has never sold a magic scroll before, but if he wants to try and barter a scroll, he does know that the Tiny Hut scroll would be worth much more than the Witch Bolt scroll.

"Hold on a second...I remember getting a commision from an adventurer for some kind of magic ruby...it was a while back, and he never claimed it. Lemme check." 

The clerk looks over his stock behind the counter. "Yeah, here it is. 'Ruby, Arcane Focus.' It was supposed to be picked up months ago, so I don't feel bad selling it to ya. 60 gold pieces is the price. You interested?"
