Seeing Flint not bothering to hide, Ink feels inspired, and stows his two scimitars and draws out his long bow (150'/600'). He searches for cover (survival? 7, add 3 if perception) and strings his longbow. Ink stands by the same spot he was at earlier (around 50' or so from the ring).
// As soon as the fire giant is within 600', Ink will take as many shots as he can at disadvantage (assuming giant starts dashing from first arrow that would be 7 rounds at a disadvantage, then at the 8th round the giant should be within 150' so normal straight shots from then on out). Angel takes off but, without Marav to guide him, stumbles into a patch of razorvine, taking 6 slashing damage. The chase continues for a few hundred feet, where Angel finds a dried up riverbed to run along. The giant lobs a huge rock but, thanks to Angel's cover, it thuds into the brush yards away, ahead of where Angel is.
Unfortunately, the rock disturbs a nest of cockatrices, one of whom spies Angel running and takes off flying after him (the cockatrice is currently only 10 feet away).

Ink sees this happening through Quill's eyes, and can tell that the giant isn't exactly after Angel—they just happen to be moving in the same direction. The giant is around 300 feet behind Angel, and they are all still a ways off, more than a quarter mile.
Marav changes back into his normal form and uses his sword to cut the snare. Then he goes stealth trying to hide from the troll.

The troll comes lolloping forward, toward the brush where Marav dove into. Marav can smell his putrid flesh and see the bugs crawling in his matted hair. The troll is sniffing with his hooked nose, a smile playing on his rubbery face and sharp teeth.
Suddenly, the smelly giantkin glares in Marav's direction and uses his arms to separate the brush, revealing the half-orc. The troll yells a short burst in giantish, and flecks of spittle go everywhere.
"I think they do.... But I forget how. The troll is out of my sight line, so let's focus on the cockatrice and the giant. Flint - I hope you have restorative spells at the ready."
After a beat, "Gentlemen - shall we go save our friend? Where's Marav - I thought he was with.... Oh no that's why the troll peeled away..."

If the chase continues on your direction, and you run towards Angel, you can be within normal longbow range of the cockatrice in 5 rounds. A few more rounds for the giant.
