Valanthe downs the rest of her wine in one shot, and states, "I'm ready - let's go! Our to do list is growing and growing... Oh, Ismark, may I have those letters back? They're going into my scrapbook. Thanks......." She begins humming a cheery tune.
Thpas walks over to the gypsies, wine in hand. "Good afternoon, have any of you, perchance encountered a young girl scampering about these parts? She would be near a bouts 17 years of age and answers to Gertruda."
The gypsies, all women, seem quite uninterested in Tpas' question. "No. We have not seen commoners leaving there homes at all today. But we can direct you to something worth doing. At Tser Pool, down the Svalich road. There's a camp there. Find Madam Eva. She can help you."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Byllemura, overhearing Thpas' discussion with the gypsies, is a bit confused. "Why would they want to help us?" she says to herself. (Insight: 10 to check if they look like they can be trusted). She comes closer and asks: "Can you tell us more of this Madam Eva? Who is she?"
"Madam Eva is a seer. She saw you come to Barovia. She knows of your business here."

"Good, because we don't... I wonder what she has to say." says Byllemura while walking out of the tavern. "I'll be waiting for you guys outside." she says to the others.
"I see!" A bright white smile emerges, stretching from one ear to the other. "Well, ladies, I must communicate to you precisely how grateful I am for your guidance in this matter. I hope it wasn't too presumptuous of me to treat each of you to a glass of the Red Dragon." Thpas scooches into an empty seat at their table. "My name is Thpas. But you knew that already, didn't you? Ha!" He winks at the ***** to his left. "If you would, please, forgive the vanity of my inquest, but what else have you been told about us by this seer, Madam Eva? I'd love to know what of my reputation has preceded me to this foreign land." Thpas waits expectantly, fascinated, wide eyed as a child during story-time.
Valanthe sits down next to Ismark and, with amusement, watches Thpas attempt to smooth over the gypsies... she has a very "where's the popcorn, the show's about to start" look to her demeanor.
The three gypsies look disgusted by Thpas' behavior. They frown at Thpas and one of their eyes is glowing bright yellow. Thpas must make a Wisdom saving throw.

Elbowing Ismark, "They don't look to happy to see him... should we save him before they throw their wine in his face?"
// Perception (although I'm not proficient) check to notice a glowing yellow eye?? 16 //
//NOPE!// Oblivious to anything outside of the gypsies disappointment, Valanthe continues to chuckle.

"Of course, it was my pleasure." Thpas pushes his drink to the center of the table and stands"do enjoy the rest of your afternoon." He walks back to Valanthe.
"Let's be off, Valanthe. these lovely ladies have more important affairs to attend than to entertain the likes of us." He turns to Ismark "sorry, friend, we must away. And you might do well to give those ladies another chance at friendship. They seemed perfectly delightful from where I was sitting." Leaving little pause, he walks out the tavern doorway to meet with Byllemura.
"Ah, Thpas. At last." says Byllemura when she sees him step out of the tavern. "How did it go with the ladies? Learned anything interesting? I think we should go see this Madam Eva. I am curious about what she would tell us."
"Oh, yes." Thpas says, with a grin "They quite enjoyed the wine and they have important business to attend. They did mention that if we were to travel down the Svalich road we would end up at a place called Tser Pool. There's a camp there where we can find a seer namedMadam Eva. She's supposedly expecting us, and she may know where to look for Gertruda!." Pondering aloud to Byllemura, he wonders "They seemed charming enough to say the least, I don't understand how they've gotten such a bad reputation among the locals."
Valanthe exits (with Ismark and the rest in tow?) almost doubling over in laughter. "Well, they shot you down pretty quick - but in a nice way. Before we go off to see Madame Eva, I do believe we had agreed with Ismark about seeing to his father and sister. They are after all the reason we are here - remember the letters?"
"Well, Ismark, if no one is opposed to it, please lead the way. " Then looking around, "Damnable mist obscures everything here, doesn't it?"
"Alright, off to the burgomaster hall with Ismark first." says Byllemura "Then we should go have a chat with Madam Eva. Let's hope we can find clues about Gertruda. Should we ask around if anyone has seen her leave?"
"Good idea, Byllemura," Valanthe says, then turning to Ismark, "while you show us to your home, do you mind if we ask you questions about Gertruda?" Valanthe then proceeds to explain about the boarding home, the woman there, and her missing daughter. "I mean this isn't a huge village, I'm sure you've at least seen or heard of her."
"Also, what was wrong with the bar keeper? He seemed to be missing a few of the straps of his armor, if you know what I mean..."

Thpas is charmed by one of the gypsies. "Please leave us to discuss more important affairs. But we appreciate the wine."
