Barbarian
Base Class: Barbarian

Barbarians who draw from the power of the Stone Vanguard channel the spirit of the stone golem, slowly hardening their skin to protect their allies with some druidic spells, as well as increase the power from their physical attacks. As a protector of nature and forests, many barbarians do some training with druids to better understand the spirit they have merged with. Understanding of the self and nature leads them to embrace the traits that forms the stone vanguard.

These barbarians are often found protecting their friends with some light magic that was taught to them, and taking the hits from enemies so their team is protected. They are usually more calm, converting energy from raging into channeling the spirit, allowing a controlled aggression and the ability to cast spells while channeling.

Spellcasting

Spellcasting using WIS modifier

Channel Stone Vanguard

Starting when you choose this path at the 3rd level, your skin hardens and druid energy flows through you, allowing you to Channel Stone Vanguard. While channeling, your skin hardens and druid energy flows through you, giving you the normal rage damage resistances, and allowing you cast your selected druid spells. You can also use Stone Slam as a melee attack action for the duration.

Stone Slam: As an action and while you have a free hand, you can harden your free hand and arm and slam it into an enemy. On hit, the target takes 1d6 bludgeoning damage + your STR modifier. This strike is magical for the sake of overcoming resistances. Because stone slam is an attack action, it does engage Extra Attack, but can only be used as a bonus action for dual wielding if you have a second free hand to use. The enemy must also roll a STR saving throw of 10 or be knocked prone. The damage increases to 2d6 at level 8, and 3d6 at level 13. The saving throw grows to 14 at level 8, and 18 at level 13.

Magic Stone Guard

Beginning at the 6th level, you can magically create a small stone shield in front of an ally in an attempt to guard them from attacks. If you are channeling and another creature within {{scalevalue}} feet of you that you can see is the target of an attack spell or melee or ranged attack, (before the attack roll has been thrown) you can use your reaction to temporarily increase their AC for that attack by your WIS modifier.

When you reach certain levels in this class, the range at which you can shield a creature increases: to 30ft at 10th level and to 60 feet at 13th level.

Evoke Vanguard

Starting at the 10th level, for 1 minute, you can use an action to Evoke Vanguard and call forth the power and spirit of the Stone Vanguard, shaping yourself into a warrior made of stone. Your weapons and armor are absorbed. Your melee attacks are the Stone Slam attack action (counts as attack action for extra attack) and your AC becomes 15 + your WIS modifier + proficiency bonus. You can use this ability a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier. All uses recover after a long rest. This can be used while Channel Stone Vanguard.

While using Evoke Vanguard, the Stone Slam action's damage die becomes a d8 instead of a d6.

Vanguard Aura

At 10th level while using Channel Stone Vanguard, you gain the ability to create a vanguard aura. When you do, you can cast the warding wind or spirit guardians without using a spell slot, material components, or concentration. WIS is your spellcasting ability for these spells. If

After you cast either spell in this way, you can't use this feature again until you finish a short or long rest.

Stone Guard Shatter

At 14th level, you magically enhance the shield, adding additional effects to the shield whether it successfully blocks an attack or fails to block an attack:
If the block was successful, the attacker cannot benefit from having multi attack or extra attack.
If the block was unsuccessful, the attack takes 5d10 piercing damage as the Stone Guard shatters into sharp stones that get hurled toward the attacker. Shattering the shield also removes the AC bonus to that creature.

Summon Twin Vanguard

Starting at level 14, you can use your action to summon a second Stone Vanguard to aid you in battle. This twin vanguard exists for 2 minutes. The twin vanguard has 25 AC, can only use the Stone Slam attack action, and has 120 health. The Stone Vanguard can use its reaction to attempt to shield an ally within 5 feet from harm, and add +7 AC  to that ally until the end of the attacker's turn.

See below

After 2 minutes or if its health reaches 0, the Stone Vanguard crumbles into small pebbles on the ground.

Note: As a different level requirement, it is recommended the player not unlock this until 18. DnD Beyond restrictions would not allow for a level set to 18.
