Okay, so I’m a 5th level monk who multi-classed (2nd level now) into artificer with an intelligence of 16 for character development reasons. I now have Tinker’s tools. Just got enhanced arcane focus. My normal Spell Save DC is 14. Can I infuse my Tinker’s tools to make my spell save DC higher? My DM is house-ruling to agree to it, although on DnDBeyond there’s no way to make that apparent: we just have to remember that my DC is one higher than what it says on the digital sheet. But would that fly at any other table?
Im not quite understanding your query, but I think youre asking can you infuse your Tinkers Tools with Enhanced Arcane focus to gain a bonus to your DC? No, thats not an effect of Enhanced Arcane Focus. Its benefit is actually to spell attack rolls, not DC. Items that effect spell DCs are a higher rarity than items that effect spell attack rolls IIRC. I don think I'd allow that at my table nor would the DM that play a PC with. But if your DM is allowing, go for it mate.

In addition to what Spikepit has written, RAW you cannot infuse tools with the Enhanced Arcane Focus infusion since the hey are not listed as viable options. only a rod, staff, or wand can receive that infusion, not even a Crystal nor an orb which are also arcane foci can receive the infusion.
No. But you could infuse a staff or a rod and then use it as a quarterstaff or a club. It’s a mostly technical difference based on price, compare the price for a staff to that of a quarterstaff.
So, you could infuse your quarterstaff or rod (club) if you are using one of those as a monk weapon!
Completely listen to what IamSposta said above, but just in case it wasn't clear, you can indeed infuse a Quarterstaff with Enhanced Weapon for a +1 to melee attacks with it and you can indeed infuse a rod with Enhance Arcane Focus for a +1 to spell attacks.

I’ll show this to my DM and get his opinion. He’ll probably still rule in my favor because rule of cool, but I’m curious; if an artificer can’t infuse their own arcane focus (thieve’s tools or tinker’s tools), then what is the point of the artificer getting the enhanced arcane focus infusion? Under what circumstances SHOULD I use this as an artificer? None of my other party members use a rod, wand, or staff as an arcane focus.

As is the topic of a separate thread in the Artificer forum, you could infuse another players' spell focus (even though you said they dont use any of the required items) but also if you end up choosing Artillerist as your Artificer's subclass you can infuse your arcane focus from level 5 onwards as per the "Arcane Firearm" feature which makes you a gunslinger but with wands. It reads:
You know how to turn a wand, staff, or rod into an arcane firearm ... blah blah blah ...You can use your arcane firearm as a spellcasting focus for your artificer spells. When you cast an artificer spell through the firearm, roll a d8, and you gain a bonus to one of the spell’s damage rolls equal to the number rolled.
Other than that, there isn't really any other circumstances you would use that infusion. Luckily there's many others that will serve you well.

Some infusions are meant for the Artificer to hold onto, others are designed for the Artificer to hand out to party members. That one is designed to be handed out to a Wizard/Warlock/Sorcerer, or used by an Artificer who multiclassed into Wizard or something.

That is not true! Because the Artificer specifically states that you can use ANY infused item as your spellcasting focus. So even if you infused a shortsword to be a +1, you can use this as your spellcasting focus. So if you infuse a rod or staff, you can now use this as your focus. Right under the Tools Required title:
"After you gain the Infuse Item feature at 2nd level, you can also use any item bearing one of your infusions as a spellcasting focus."
What you CANNOT do, however, is infuse that rod/staff with both Enhanced Arcane Focus and Enhanced Weapon as each item can only hold one infusion.
This is true and Im disappointed in myself I forgot it. My own artificer uses is breastplate as his focus! Oops. My bad.

There are multiple categories of Spellcasting Focus, what a spellcaster can use as a spellcasting focus is defined by the caster's class.
There is the Arcane Focus for Wizards, Warlocks and Sorcerers There is the Druidic Focus for Druids (sometimes Rangers) There is the Holy Symbol for Clerics and Paladins There are Musical Instruments for Bards And the Artificer can/must use Thieves' Tools, Artisan's Tools, or any of their Infused Items as a spellcasting focus
An arcane focus is a specific category of spellcasting focus.
As to why the infusion isn't just "Enhanced Spellcasting Focus" and thus applicable to anything any caster can use as a spellcasting focus... you got me. Probably because they just copied it from the Wand of the War Mage and only made it slightly more generic, or because Artillerists can specifically make a rod, wand, or staff into their Arcane Firearm.
