According to the manual, when raging you get a plus 2 to damage and on D & D Beyond under rage you can roll a D20 plus 2? For my battleaxe I would roll a 1D8 plus 3 plus another 2 for rage damage. So which one is right? Is the dice rolling function correct for D & D Beyond?

DDB does not currently add the Rage damage to your rolls, that has to be done manually. If you post a link to your character sheet someone can take a peak at it and tell you where all of your bonuses are coming from.
I just built my character a couple of weeks ago, so this might be a new feature? If you click on Features and Traits and in the paragraph describing Rage, you can use the virtual dice roll feature: Rage(1D20+2). I am just going to add the +2 damage manually and ignore the virtual dice roll. Thanks for the reply.
Yeah, that’s called a snippet. They get embedded into the abridged versions of the rules displayed on the character sheets. Those are correct. Note, I said they are abridged. If you tap those shortened versions of the rules. The full real rules text will be available in the sidebar that slides out. Those however do not include the convenient calculations included in the snippets.
However, the character sheet cannot currently track temporary effects, and since the extra 2 damage only happen the couple of minutes per day you’re actually raging, that would Quapaw a temporary effect. In addition, the die roller is still only in beta testing currently, so it doesn’t automatically include lots of stuff yet.
In short, this website’s character sheet is the easiest to build and manage anywhere, but it doesn’t do all the things yet, so double check stuff.
Also want to point out that the rage damage is in addition to other bonuses. Your battle axe does normally 1d8 + STR. When you rage it gets an addition +2. So it would be 1d8 + STR + 2. So if your strength score is 16 or 17 it would be 1d8 + 5 when you rage.
other note attack rolls (the d20 roll) gets STR + Proficiency bonus all the time.
so the only thing you need to do it roll the dice roller and add a +2 to the damage number rolled.

The d20 is your die to attack, and the d8 is your die for damage. You add the rage damage to the damage roll only.
Thanks for the reply! That's what I assumed. I guess there is a glitch in D & D Beyond. Hopefully someone will fix it. Thanks again!
