The basic healing potion is misscategorized as 'gear' and not a potion.
That’s the way they did it in the PHB.

Wierd. Maybe give it both tags so it shows up when filtering potions since, you know, it’s a potion. Just a thought.
I get the impression that if they could have done that, they would have by now. I think they would have to make a second version as a potion and it would confuse the heck out of things.
