Hi, I've been dabbling with homebrew content for s few years now, and as of a couple days ago (10/09/2024) when i last check withon my personal creations one of my races. (Yes i know they call them species now and it irks me) the variants are letting me open the preview pane or the homebrew page at all. They just cause my computer to crash.
I was working on the parent race earlier today (10/15/2024) editong some finer details and saved it for working on later. Now it says it was posted for public use, but I wasn't done editing and I can't figure out what's wrong with the variants.
If a moderator could cancel the posted race (link below), and maybe help with tips about the variants (not posted can't edit or delete at all)
What probably happened is while working on it you accidentally unchecked (or never checked) the “will havie species option” box, so the system doesn’t register them as attached to it any longer. And now that it l’s published you’re stuck and can no longer edit either it, or those species options anymore. That’s why, when the “share with community” button is clicked there’s that popup warning you not to do it unless you’re absatively, posolutely, a bajillion percent sure that it’s completely finished and ready for the public. Even if you click the “create new version” button you will have to completely rewrite the species options for that new version all over again from scratch. You can read more information about this and other homebrew issues in the General Homebrew FAQ: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq#GeneralHomebrewFAQ&BasicTroubleshooting), in this case questions 7–8 should be applicable. You can also learn more specifically about homebrewing species in particular in the Homebrew Subclasses & Species FAQ: (the one right below the general FAQ linked above ☝️).
I noticed the same thing. The parent expands just fine but the subraces (species) don’t. I am able to edit the subs from within the parent edit form, however.
I definitely didn't post the race to the public, (I almost never do with my homebrew), when I finished editing and had to go to work I just saved my work and closed the webpage to come back to it later. Which surprised me when I saw it was posted to the public, short of flagging the race myself, I'm not sure how to get it out of the posted content

If it doesn’t actually work when creating a character then you can report it and the Mods may (might, maybe) take it down for you. Otherwise you’re stuck remaking things.
