It isn't letting me add traits to my subraces

I'm using the homebrew creator to add a race. I finally figured out how to make the traits do what they're supposed to, but it isn't allowing me to add traits to my subraces.

What precisely do you mean? Is it not giving you the button, or are the traits not saving properly, or something else?
