I am in the process of creating a homebrew subclass for the warlock class. During this process I started from the celestial template, and began changing class features.
After writing the full text for the first level class feature, I saved and immediately found the text box blank when the page reloaded. I repeated the process believing I had made some error and received the same result. After that I wrote it in another text editor and copy pasted it into the editor, it still would not save my changes. After that I tried deleting the feature and remaking it with the same result. I am currently using the snippet field to hold the full text of the ability because it the main text field does not save. All the other fields that I adjust appear to be saving data just fine, but the "description" field is always empty when I load the feature.
This is the first time I have encountered anything like this on DnD beyond, I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced something like this or if the problem is on my end.
It sounds like you have not entered information in one of the required fields or dropdowns. When you attempt to save and not everything that is required has been entered it usually behaves the way you are describing.
Either that or you are running one or more ad/popup blockers, browser extensions, or VPNs that are interfering with DDB.
If I'm reading correctly what you'd put in, try leaving out the "d6s" from the Healing Light description? I saw some other folks having issues with getting homebrew to save, and it had something to do with having dice math in there. I'm a. not sure if "d6s" is enough to trigger that, and b. not sure if there was also an extension involved (I think there was) but if getting rid of anything that could be mistaken for dice math fixes it, that's something else to try, though I'd go for disabling extensions and VPNs first.

Yes, the Beyond20 browser extension was responsible for that.
