Hi! I'm having an issue where i'm trying to make a subclass that expands upon tempest domain cleric, allowing for more lighting and thunder related spells. However, when I add them to the "additional specific spells" list (where the other subclass spells seem to go) it makes the character have two copies. For example, if I add lightning bolt, the character now has two copies of lightning bolt always prepared. The same happens with cantrips. If i try and remove one of the cantrips, dnd beyond crashes. Any clue what's going on here?
Your problem is the cantrips. You can’t put cantrips into the Additional Specific Spells field for a Spellcaster that prepares spells. Those spells are “always prepared,” but since cantrips are “known” and never “prepared” it throws the system into tilt.
Doesn't fix the problem of this happening with literally every other spell though. I removed the cantrips a while ago. Even took out the spells and added them in a class feature like described in a different thread. same result.
Remove the spells from the class feature and put the spells back into that field. Re-save your subclass and give it at least 20 minutes for the system to reset itself. Then remove the subclass from your character sheet and add it back again. If it’s still happening post again.
Post a link to your character sheet (the actual URL, not the “share” link), and a link to your unpublished homebrew. Hopefully a Moderator will happen along and be able to help you.
Well luckily i figured it out on my own. Reset the homebrew (as in deleted it) and started it from scratch, avoiding that spell list, going straight for the feature. Bit scuffed, but on the character sheet it works just fine.

Pretty much the first thing I did. What else you got?
