Old versions of some of my homebrews are getting unpublished on me. My most popular spell has gone from over 100 “adds” down to fewer than 70. I woke up to find ten emails telling me that it was rejected, found all the old versions had been rejected/unpublished on me and now it has broken one of my Homebrew subclasses that had an older version mapped to it that is no longer viable. What is going on?!?
Meanwhile, those old versions are still haunting my homebrewer. WTF?!?
The moderation team will regularly review homebrew content and reject anything found to be breaking homebrew rules and guidelines. If you have had your homebrew rejected under such a circumstance, the reason should be provided.
It should also be noted that if you have multiple versions of homebrew with the same guideline violation, they will all be rejected.
However, you can view the reason and resubmit, at which point it will enter the queue to be reviewed
Its a site-wide thing. Did a lot of your homebrew items used to have "A something," or a symbol or number? Those things make the item appear first in the listing, which is why they get rejected. Your items probably got less popular because now they are in their rightful place in the listing, after you removed the "A" or quotation marks. A lot of people, including me, are facing these "issues." These aren't really issues, its just a way to make things fair. That was a HUGE problem back then, when people would put quotes or "A"s at the beginning of the titles, which would result in the homebrew content being bumped up in the listing so it appears first. Now the moderators are more vigilant against this issue, so people are less likely to get away with rendering other people's content unviewed.

They were old, overwritten versions of a single spell. It didn’t “get less popular,” because it’s now “in its proper place.” People who had added the old versions got the old versions taken away from them. People who had already added the spell.. It isn’t that Add “decreased,” it’s that DDB took them away from people. But since those were old, overwritten versions of the spell spell. A spell that had already been renamed and was already in “it’s proper place” for a year. So those old versions weren’t causing any issues for anyone.
I am well aware of the site’s policy, and no not a lot of my homebrews started with “a,” it was just a single spell, that had already been renamed a long time ago. So I wasn’t “getting away” with anything.
All cleared up? Or do you want to insult me some more?
