The spell does not however appear on the list his warlock spell list despite meeting the criteria. I removed the warlock criteria and it still did not appear
As I will also need the standard EB spell I don't want this extra spell to take up a spell known anyway, so I created a feat granting the ability to cast the spell, the spell I had created was available to do this
I can't view the spell or feat since I'm not staff, but sometimes you need to wait 20 minutes for changes to homebrew to "percolate" to character sheets, and you may need to "refresh" the character by bumping them up a level and then back down for the new feat to show up.

I did think that I created them yesterday and gave them 24 hours to show up
Hrmm... make sure that you click Save Changes at the main edit page of the homebrew, then see if it shows up within 20 minutes or so.
Also, can you check your homebrew creations and see if maybe that homebrew feat is somehow not part of your collection? If it has a "Add to Collection" button instead of "Delete from Collection" then you need to Add it, and then probably do the level-bump refresh on your character to be sure it sees it.

I’ve done exactly what you’re proposing (i.e a home-brewed spell to cast EB + Hex as one with a feat to grant the ability to cast it) on one of my warlocks.
I know it’s caught me out a couple of times, so check you have set homebrew as “allowed” in the character builder for that character.
In terms of rolling both dice at once, it works fine if you’re able/prepared to use the third party Beyond20 browser extension.
Rather than have to roll hex damage seperately I want to be able be able to cast an Eldrich blast cantrip with an extra 1d6 damage
I created a hmebrew cantip from the Eldritch Blast adding the extra damage

However this feat does not appear on the avaialable feat for my character (or ones I don't meet criteria for)

What have I done wrong?

Okay, see if bumping them up a level and then back down will make the feat show up under Manage Feats.

It will not work because Eldritch blast is d10 and hex is d6 and the system cannot combine them currently. The dice roller is still just a toddler.

Thanks I had forget to set homebrew on, all working now :-)
