Recently got a wand sheath and a wand of webs and I can't figure out how to attune to both in 1 slot. I can attune to both in 2 slots. Any advice or does the site not yet support this feature?
This feature is currently unsupported. However, there are a few different workarounds you can employ in the meantime:
Since attunement to the wand sheath doesn't actually convey any "real" mechanical benefits (nothing on the character sheet), you can forego attunement to that item and attune only to the sheathed wand. The drawback to this is having to remember whether you are attuned to the sheath; you can mitigate that somewhat by adding a note to the item.
You can create a homebrew copy of the item, click Add a Modifier, and add Modifier Type: Set, Modifier Subtybe: Attunement Slots, and Fixed Value to your normal number of attunement slots + 1 (artificers of certain levels can attune to more than 3 objects). The drawbacks to this are remembering that the extra attunement slot is for a sheathed wand only, and also to change the modifier as appropriate if you hit certain levels in the artificer class. In the example below, I created a homebrew copy of wand sheath (naming it with an underscore prefix so I know it's homebrew), and gave it this modifier with a Fixed Value of 4:
Frankly, the easiest solution IMO is the first one that Halfwing suggested, simply not attuning the Sheath and adding the note to the wand. But, if anyone cares:
The other thing you could do is make a homebrewed copy of the [Tooltip Not Found] and add the relevant information from the wand sheath to that copied wand and change the name to something like “Wand of Webs with Wand Sheath.” (Or whatever works for you to remember.)
Then, on your character sheet simply add a container and change the name to something that will remind you it isn’t really a container and isn’t really there. (I usually go with something like “Convenience Hack” for mine.) Don’t forget to override the weight to “0” so it won’t count towards encumbrance.
Any magic item in a container won’t currently* register on the sheet, so you can load both versions of the Wand of Webs into your inventory, but put the active version in “Equipment,” and the inactive version in “Convenience Hacks.” (Or whatever you call it.) *Functionality subject to change without notice.
