Hi, so I'm making my own reflavor/edit for the hexblade warlock for my character and I didn't change any mechanics but the spell list, all I did was rename stuff. Yet when I try to use a weapon as a hex weapon it doesn't give me the option. Anyone know why that may be? Any help is appreciated.

The Hexblades’ Hex Weapon feature is mechanically tied to the name of that feature. If you changed the name from “Hex Warrior” to something different it will no longer work.

Would I have to leave the whole feature the same or just the action part? Like can I change the name of the feature while leaving the name of the action the same or does it all have to stay?

To repeat, that Hex Weapon ability is tied to the name of the feature. If you change the name of the feature it will not work. In addition, there is no “action” associated with that feature whatsoever. If you are asking me if it has to be the “Hex Warrior” feature, and it has to grant you a “Hex Weapon,” the answer is yes. Only a “Hex Weapon” can use Cha instead of Str/Dex like that, and only the “Hex Warrior” feature can grant a “Hex Weapon.”
