i saved a homebrew race and its not showing up in the character creator. All the races i have made are in there but if I save homebrew to my collection it doesnt show up.
So you added a published homebrew race to your collection, but it isn't available to select yet?
Sometimes it can take a little while (up to 20 minutes) for changes to your homebrew & collection to percolate to character sheets. Reload on the Races page and see if it's available yet. If not, try picking a different race for now, move on to the next step, then go back to Races and see if it shows up.

Also, did you check "has subraces"? If so, and you didn't create subraces, that would be the issue.
