These two feats each give you two spells on your spell list to use as normal if you have a casting ability, AND one free dose of each per day like how they are working on the sheet now.
"You can also cast these spells using spell slots you have of the appropriate level. "
If I remember correctly, at one point there was a cast button there for these spells but it was removed. Perhaps because some people found it confusing? I understand wanting the button back, and I’m glad you posted, as it provides helpful feedback to the developers. In the meantime, though, the work around is to check off the spell slots manually.
They used to add spells both ways, once as a [ USE ], and once as a [CAST], but people complained that it cluttered up the character sheets so DDB stopped.
I wish they’d implement it properly. For those of us who use D&D Beyond’s campaign log/link to discord (via Avrae) not being able to cast the spells using spell splits as well is a pain. Yes I know there are ways round it but it’s unwelcome hassle, plus it’s ironic that it’s not been implemented correctly when they have the ability to do so, given what a song and dance D&D Beyond make about only implementing the rules as written.
