I'm seeing a bug where saving throw and skill bonuses are not showing their correct value for sidekicks that have been added as an Extra to a character. This also impacts homebrew sidekicks. Please see links for screenshots.
Has an attempted bug fix for this been released to prod? My players are still seeing it, so I wanted to know if I need to have them remove and re-add the sidekicks or something.
Just bringing this up again because it is still an issue.
Main thing is that it seems to not include proficiency bonus anywhere is the Sidekicks stat block, and then also removes that bonus from the stats for some reason, even though we have to add all that in manually. It seems strange that we have to do the math ourselves to make the statblock in the first place, and then the Sidekick system reverses the math before it lands in our players Character Sheets...
If I understand correctly, you are homebrewing sidekicks to reflect Tasha’s rules, and adding them to the “sidekicks” section of the Extras menu. If this is case, try adding them using “miscellaneous” instead.
The sidekicks option on the extras tab was designed for the sidekicks from Dragon of Icespire Peak, which uses different rules than Tasha’s.

Any word on an update for this? It's still present after a year?
Any word on an update for this?
I am seeing the same issue and would appreciate a fix.
Any word?
We're planning a full system to better handle sidekicks and variable stat summons/pets.

Hi,
Awesome, that is great news! 🙂
Is there any timeline you can give for that?
Kind regards,
Dex
No, they never give timelines or ETAs.

Oh wow, that makes sense. Thanks I'll give that a go.
Unfortunately that is a little confusing, so I hope they find a way to adjust it. Hopefully once they have a dedicated system for sidekicks.
Building sidekicks takes quite some time if you want it done accurately right now.
