The reaction attack and the added extra attack have the range listed as 5 ft. Staves, glaives etc have 10ft range.

The spear is also eligible for Polearm Master, and it doesn’t have reach, so when they programmed the action for the feat, they programmed it with the shortest potential reach. The feat has no way of knowing which weapon(s) the PC has equipped.
