So the average life calculator for 5e shows that our Sorcerer with a 1d6 HD and +2 CON mod should be 20 at level 3. His page shows 20. Our Fighter with 1D10 and +3 should be 31. Her page shows 31. However, my Druid with 1d8 +3 should be 27 and the calculator only shows 22...? Can someone explain?
You are correct that the HP should be 27 if your campaign is using the average/fixed value number rather than rolling for HP beyond 1st level. There are two possibilities I can think of causing this issue: 1) the player set HP type to "manual" instead of "fixed" and entered the wrong numbers as "rolled" HP. 2) the player (or DM) entered a Max HP override of 22. Since I'm not the player, the DM, or a moderator, I can't access the areas that would tell me which possibility it is (or if you've encountered a rare bug)
If they set change the HP setting before selecting a Class it automatically defaults to the Barbarian’s d12 unless it is manually adjusted afterwards.
Yep, but since the Druid’s HP were lower than expected, not higher than expected, I don’t think that’s what happened here—unless a level up or two didn’t register properly.

Can you have the owner of the druid character post a link to their character?

Go to your HOME | Preferences, change your Hit Point Type from Fixed to Manual and then back to Fixed. See if that clears up the problem.
