How to create dice tooltips?

I've seen other people make dice roll tooltips on forums. How do you do that?

(An example: Can we get a Super Yahtzee?)

Those aren’t “tooltips,” they’re just using this button:

You can easily roll combined attack & damage rolls as well as ability scores that way too, just switch tabs in the popup.

You technically can do it manually, but it’s not worth it.

How do you manipulate dice roll results?

By editing the post after the initial post was sI litter. But I would ignore that as it often displays even when there are no manipulated dice. The dice roller here is wonky.
