So, as I understand it, the app currently will support things like “add 1d4 elemental damage” to a magic item. Other posts have suggested a work around by adding spells (enlarge, for instance) to the item. I can’t seem to get these to add dmg dice to rolls—my character has hex spell and enlarge spell, but casting these in the app do not seem to add anything to the dmg rolls for an attack. What am I doing wrong?

Nothing. The dice rolling features are pretty basic and don’t include additional damage dice.
