It's a recent bug. The workaround is to Copy the character and Join with that, or if you're starting from scratch anyway, use Quick Build to create the character (which you can Edit afterward.)

I'm also having this issue, for some reason it can handle the first 484 characters I have, but not the last 8. I even deleted an old one to see if it was a limit kind of thing, but no, the next character in the 484 line up was now the only one at the top. Smh.
Edit: When you copy the character, the dice group rolls don't stay BTW.
It's something that's happening with recently created characters, within the past few(?) days or so. For now the workarounds are to start off character creation with Quick Build instead of Standard Build, or else make a Copy of the character.
What do you mean by "dice group rolls"? Is that a Beyond20 thing?

these things where you roll your stats when you set it to "Manual/Rolled" in the abilities section in the character builder. I just misremembered their exact name whilst posting.
When you copy a character, the rolls don't stay. Only the numbers in the boxes stay.
Hi, I want to join a certain campaign: [REDACTED]
With this character of mine:
https://www.dndbeyond.com/profile/Israfel070/characters/69713703
The join page looks mostly proper except the one character I want to link is not listed.
I already checked it's not a public/private character issue.

Well my char is already level 4, neither of those options are attractive. Hope they fix the bug.
Copying doesn’t mean recreating. Go to Collections>My Characters, find the “cards for the character in question and click the copy button.
