I’m about to purchase some books on Dndbeyond, but I noticed some prices differ between the website and the iOS app.
Why the discrepancy? Are they not identical content?
Also, just to confirm, do purchases on the app show up on the website account, and vice-versa? Perhaps the answer to this one is obvious, but I’ve been burned by digital services in the past where this was not the case.
I'm not sure why the prices are different, but it's best to purchase through the website anyway, since purchases through the app are processed via the third-party app store and often delay the material becoming available in your DDB account.

Thanks for the reply. It sounds like you are confirming purchases through an app can be accessed through the website login, albeit with a delay. Is that right?
A delay in delivery is fine with me if it means paying nearly 17% less. :-)
Be certain you are viewing the same thing. Books have a "full" version and a "compendium only" version that is cheaper.

I'm not seeing that on the App, so it may be a display issue on the app from the sale that happened recently. Probably best to make sure that your app is updated.
Also, what I have seen from buying things via the app it can take upwards of weeks to get access to the content. I don't know what causes the delay, but it has happened.

Well I updated the app, and the lower price remained. I bit the bullet and bought it through the app...and my bank was only charged the reduced price. Plus, it showed up in my account here on the website pretty much instantly. *shrug*

Yes, they will be applied to your account on the website, but sometimes it can take like a day or more, based on threads people have started here.

Yes, the prices I’m noting are both referring to the full books, not just compendium or tools versions.
Specifically, many of the adventure books are $30 on the web store but $25 in the iOS app.
