 Report this over in Bugs and Support - presumably for any user that owns exactly one of the two books, it should link to that book's version.

You can specify the monster source within the opening clause of the tooltip by replacing monster with monster src= and then the source

For example

• [monster src=vgtm]Vegepygmy[/monster] will link to Vegepygmy from Volo's Guide to Monsters
• [monster src=motm]Vegepygmy[/monster] will link to Vegepygmy from Monsters of the Multiverse

If in doubt as to what the src code is for a book, it's in the URL of that book after 'source/', but to save some time:

• Volo's Guide to Monsters; vgtm
• Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes: mtof
• Monsters of the Multiverse: motm
