I'm having an issue where cantrips for my spell casters are not showing up when i generate a printable PDF.
I'm encountering it on a druid and cleric generated from the "quick build" option in the character creator for a one-shot for first time players. It appears all known 1st and 2nd level spells are appearing in the list for both classes, however the druid lists only minor image, and the cleric shows none.
Has anyone encountered this issue before, and if so, how did you fix it?
As for waiting to ensure all updates make it to the pdf, these characters have been created for quite some time. That's not the problem.
That's odd. neither of those read-only character sheets are showing cantrips for their classes (The Forest Gnome gets Minor Illusion as a racial ability.)
Also, the leveled spells for the Cleric are the always-prepared ones for Life Domain.
Did you ever use Manage Spells to add spells to the characters?
I'm relatively new to actually using the platform. Would it be more helpful to share a non read-only character sheet, and if so, how would I do that?
I intentionally left out prepared spells as I was going to print the PDFs for the new players and have and choose the spells they want to prepare. The PDF outputs a list of all known 1st and 2nd level spells, however it doesn't output any cantrips. See screenshot: https://imgur.com/kvPsl2r
Additionally, on a sorcerer that I made, using the same method for the same session, had outputted all the spells correctly but I assume that its because they only know the spells that they choose at the time of leveling up.
I see, you're wanting to show the full lists of spells they can prepare (since Druid and Cleric are prepared classes.) And the generated PDF shows all the possible leveled spells for them.
But cantrips are Learned, not Prepared. So the PDF is only going to show which cantrips got chosen using Manage Spells. It's not going to show the complete list of all possible cantrips.
You will need to provide the lists of Druid/Cleric cantrips for your players to select in some other fashion than the PDF, unless you copy the list of them into the character sheet's Notes.
Found a trick, my spells weren't printing, but creating a COPY of the character then generating the PDF worked. I think once you generate a PDF it doesn't generate a new one all the time reliably.

You just have to wait 20 minutes after updating your character sheet before exporting to PDF to give the system time to update its caches. By copying your character you forced the caches to update immediately.

After you edit your character sheet you must wait a 20 minutes prior to exporting the PDF to ensure all of your updates make it.

Had to rule it out as a possibility just in case.

Its just the URL for the character sheet. (Nobody but you or your DM can change anything on it, so have no fear.)

Ooh is that right? So then the cantrips for those classes are set in stone after they’re learned?
I did not know this! That would explain it, thank you!
