In anticipation of my warlock getting 6th level, I went to the Extras tab of my character sheet, picked "summoned" from the drop down, and found "Specter", which I added to my sheet so I'll have the stats and description handy. I went to do the same for "Shadow Spirit", in case I take the "Summon Shadowspawn" spell, and it's not in there. I also couldn't find the "Undead Spirit" I'd get if I took the "Summon Undead" spell. Is it, or can it be possible to add those to the Extras menu?
Since they aren’t actual creatures published by WotC, DDB won’t add them. You’re gonna hafta recreate them as homebrewed monsters and update things based on PB or spell level manually in the homebrewer.
Thanks. I mean, they are actual creatures published by WotC in the Warlock spell list, but I get your meaning. This gives me an excuse to start trying homebrews, so thanks for all your info on that as well.
According to DDB they count as spell effects and not creatures since they aren’t listed outside of the spells. 🤷♂️ I think it’s a silly distinction too. After all, the whole point is to make it more convenient for us. Anyway, happy to help. If you need more you’ll find me in these forums.
