I've created a warrior (archer) with the sharpshooter feat. I cannot find a way to use this in the character sheet, where it takes the "to hit" penalty and the damage bonus into account. Am I missing something? I've looked everywhere I can think of. I tried this with the digital dice enabled and disabled.
You have to set it up to use them. The feat has no idea what weapons you might be using so it doesn’t add the action. And the weapons don’t know if you have the feat, so they don’t account for it.
Add a second version of whatever weapon you are using to your character and use the customization tools to change the name; the to hit, and damage modifiers; and to set the weight to 0 so it doesn’t screw encumbrance up.

This is the best work around I am aware of.

Any time an unfathomably powerful entity sweeps in and offers godlike rewards in return for just a few teensy favors, it’s a scam. Unless it’s me. I’d never lie to you, reader dearest.
If you download the Beyond20 extension and are using Roll20, you can set up a Hotkey that works like LShift/LControl for Advantage/Disadvantage, respectively.

Thank you very much, I will give this a go. Much appreciated.

I don't even see Sharpshooter as an option to add under Feats.
You need to either own that feat or own the PHB on this website.
