I am recreating my current campaign character. At 1st level, he took the 'Minor illusion' cantrip as one of his three. At second level, he chose the School of Illusion, which is supposed to allow you to choose a fourth cantrip if you already have 'Minor illusion.' Instead, he now has 2 versions of the 'Minor illusion' cantrip, and I am unable to select a fourth cantrip.
I'm a little concerned now. I popped onto the forum to see whether anyone else playing a Forest Gnome Wizard using the Illusionist Arcane Tradition was having this problem, and I'm clearly not alone. You posted this back in August of 2017 - and yours isn't the only post on the topic - and I'm reading about it in June 2018 because it still hasn't been fixed.
It sort of was. There was an “Improved minor illusion” cantrip listed, so I deleted the “Minor illusion” cantrip and added a new one. My character was a Half-Orc wizard, so the added complexity of being a Gnome wizard would never have occurred to me.
One "hack" solution is to add the feat "Magic Initiate" - which grants several spells/cantrips. Simply add the feat and select a single Cantrip of your choice, ignoring the two other selections that come with the feat.
I made a homebrew copy of this subclass and made the Minor Illusion spell granted to be choose a wizard cantrip instead. Everything else about the subclass is the same and problem solved.
Hello there,

Thanks in advance!

This has still to be fixed :(
