Hi! I made an item in my homebrew (Lesser Flametongue Rapier), but I can't see it in my player's character sheet even though he's added to my campaign. My understanding was that I didn't have to publish the homebrew item as long as the player is in my campaign. It might be a loading issue so I'll check back later to see if I can see it.
You don’t need to publish it. Check to make sure that the item is in your “collection.” If it is, then the character in question has to have homebrew enabled. In the builder/editor for that character, on the “home” tab (all the way to the left before “race”) there are a series of switches. The one marked “homebrew content” has to be on (red) or that character sheet will ignore all homebrew.
If it is on, then you might just need to wait a little bit. Because of the new character sheet framework that they are still implementing it might take a little while (30ish minutes, maybe less) to push new content to the character sheet. It doesn’t usually, but this is a special circumstance.

Thank you for this comment. They really should make this crystal clear under the HB content creation section.

Thanks good sir! I didn't realize that he didn't have homebrew items turned on for this character.
