I just created a lvl 5 sorcerer and I chose Strixhaven Initiate (Prismari) as background. I chose Healing words as my lvl 1 bonus spell.
My problem is that it only appears in the lvl 1 list of spells, and not in the higher levels lists.
The feat states : "You can cast the chosen 1st-level spell without a spell slot, and you must finish a long rest before you can cast it in this way again. You can also cast the spell using any spell slots you have."
I wondererd, is it a bug of beyond ? Can I indeed use Healing words with lvl 2 or more slots ? And if so, will It be a lvl 2 or more healing words ?
Yes, but I just wanted to be sure that I can actually upcast the spell, that the feat allows it, and that if I do so, the spell will behave like a upcasted spell --> 2d8 / 3d8 / etc. I wanted to be sure that the fact that it was missing from the list was indeed a bug on beyond, and not as it was supposed to be :) Thanks for your answser !

You can just tick off the higher level spell slot directly whenever you upcast the spell.
