I already got and paid for the physical book for Volo's and Tasha's, but D&D Beyond won't let me use the content to create a character. Could you guys make it so I can enter the book number and code or something of a similar fashion that would identify the book so I don't have to pay twice for the same thing and get to use the content?
When you buy the digital content you aren't "Paying twice for the same thing," you are buying a digital edition in addition to your physical edition. This is like asking for them to give you a second copy of the book for free so you can leave one at home and have the second for traveling. it doesn't work that way. In addition, there is no unique code in your books to prove you own it. For additional information, please follow the "Hardcovers, DDB, & You" link in my signature.

If you’re against paying for the digital version you can just homebrew everything in for personal use. Takes time, but it’s an option.
