Hello there, I purchased the Strixhaven sourcebook about 30 minutes ago. I went into the character creator, but neither the Owlin race or any of the background options appear to be available. The Strixhaven book is also not listed under the Source drop-down menus. It appears my account entitlements are in sync. Is there a step I am missing or anything I can do to access the Strixhaven content in the character creator? Thanks in advance!
I am also having this problem but toggling Magic the Gathering content does nothing to fix it. I still have the spells on existing sheets but cannot select the spells on a new character. Advice would be appreciated as I've never had an issue before.

Ah the character is not in the shared campaign, didn't realize it was per char not profile, thanks
it’s not “per character,” it’s “per campaign.” You could have up to 99 characters in that campaign and they would all get access to the shared content because it is shared with that campaign and they are a part of it.
If this is so, then why do i have access to race/species in other books I have not purchased, but that are shared, such as Monsters of the Multiverse? Why do I have the "Legacy" tag on my species/race choices but I have purchased no material that isn't "Legacy"?
Because that content is being shared with you from someone else in the same campaign. Whenever content sharing is activated, all content unlocked by anyone in a campaign is shared with everyone else in that same campaign.
I feel like we're talking in circles, here, because Strixhaven is enabled by that player in the shared campaign, and no Owlin in the character creation screen is available.
Is your character in that campaign? Is “Magic: the Gathering Content” enabled (red, to the right) for that character on the Home tab of the character builder? If so, check that your Account Entitlements are in sync, and have the person with the Strixhaven book do the same: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/account/marketplace). If that doesn’t fix it, have the person who activated content sharing turn it off and back on again.
Yes. Yes. I can access all the contents of the Strixhaven shared material. I was attempting to create a character and bring it into the campaign and not directly in the campaign, which appears to be the problem. A year, or so, ago, this was not the case, which is the source of my confusion.

Toggle Magic the Gathering Content ON (red/right) in your HOME | Preferences.

That did the trick, thank you very much!

Do you personally own that content on DDB, or are you accessing it through content sharing? If through sharing, is that character in the campaign in which the content is being shared? Are your account entitlements in sync? No disrespect, but you must be misremembering things as it has always been the case.
