Are you trying to create/edit a character in the campaign where the sharing is happening? Content being shared is only accessible by characters in the campaign where the content is being shared.
Not sure what I would be looking for, I'm being shared the books and the ones I have downloaded we're supposed to add the different archetype but nothing shows up when I try to make a new or change a character.
No, the books aren’t being shared “with you,” and downloading them in the app does nothing to unlock their contents. The books are being shared within a specific campaign, so you can only access their options on characters specifically within that campaign.

I have the books being shared with me and I don't see any of the other subclasses besides champion and gunslinger.
