I've just joined my first campaign as a player, instead of as a DM, and I had no problem sharing my content for this campaign. When I tried to Manage Content, I found what at least at first glance appears to be all my content. Unfortunately, it was ALL enabled, including the modules I am running and will be runnng as we progress. There are no options to enable or disable any of them.
I went and created a new campaign as a DM, and I don't have this problem,, I see all my content, and each has options to enable/disable, and options at the top to enable all/disable all.
As a player in this new campaign, not the DM, I do not want to and should not be able to see all the details of the other players characters, but if I have to be the DM in order to control what content I let them see, I have access to that character information, and the current DM does not
Once content sharing is enabled, the capability of restricting certain compendiums defaults to the DM. That’s just the way the system is designed. If you just ask the DM for that campaign to restrict those compendiums, then nobody will be able to read them.
The DM can choose what is shared in a campaign, regardless of who enabled the Content Sharing. * This is why as a player you cannot use Manage Content to make changes. But the DM can, even if not the one who enabled content sharing.
* noting, that selections are only compendium content, not character sheet options. Nothing stops character options.
Seeing other character sheets is determined by the owner of that sheet - you can set a sheet to public or private. Public, the default, means anyone can view the sheet. Private means only they can - and the DM if in a campaign.

The owners of the content should be the ones who decides what they want to share... our group has 3 DMs who rotate out every 6 months, give or take... for my campaign, thats obviously not an issue, but when the other 2 take their turn at DM, they should not have access to my modules just because they are the boss at the moment
If the DM of the day doesnt want me to include all the content I add, he or she can ask me to disable the undesired sources
