I have been trying to create some homebrew weapons and armor, but whenever I get everything completed and hit save, the page informs me that it has something left that is required. When I go to fix it, it states I must select what kind of magic item this is, even though it is selected as being an armor or weapon and doesn't even give me the ability to select any type of magic item. I am unable to save and use the items as they are not being registered as completed.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue? It has been going on for the past few days and the campaign is coming up here soon.
I'm not creating a nonmagical item. I'm creating a homebrew weapon which I have been able to make before, prior to this issue. Instead of it allowing me to make the weapon, it is telling me a requirement to the making process is making the weapon a magical item. If I switch the weapon to an item it gives me the ability to choose something, but upon switching it back to a weapon or armor, it will no longer allow saving. This bug happened sometime in the past 3 days as my item creating on the 26th was fine.
Seems I'll have to post this under a different thread name. No one seems to be reading the problem and taking a shot in the dark from the threads title.
That’s because magic weapons don’t have any relevant information in that dropdown. Instead you have to select a basic weapon to model your magic weapon upon:

It is not currently possible to create nonmagical items in the homebrewer.

We have never been able to homebrew nonmagical items. The only items we can homebrew are magical items.

Nothing is able to be selected in the magical item type under the base item being a weapon.

I agree, the problem is that the editor is making it a requirement before it allows me to save and use the item.
It stops being a requirement as soon as I switch my selections from “magic item” to either “weapon” or “armor.”

Then I guess the problem/glitch is limited to my creations :/ since mine makes it a requirement regardless of what I input it as.
Try a fresh item and see if it persists.
