I bought Fizban's Treasurey but when I go to create a Character. none of the stuff i purchased i can use

So i bought Fizbans treasury of Dragons mainly for the playable races. When I go into creating a character, I can only see the player handbook Dragonborn and not the gem/metallic Dragonborn. Is there any way, any of you know how to fix this?
