I'm turning a sorcerer subclass from a 3td party book I just got into homebrew here and wanted to separate the feature which gives one of a selection of spells per spell level per long rest (from spell levels 1st to 5th) because I thought it would be easier to understand than doing it all in the same feature.
Unfortunately, upon adding the "feature" to pick which spell is chosen for 3rd-level spells (at sorcerer level 5) it won't show up in the character builder.
Is this a bug, or do I just need to wait a bit for the update to go through?
Without knowing what you did, I can’t exactly say. However I can tell you that after you add anything to, change anything on, or remove anything from any homebrew you MUST re-save the entire homebrew using the main [SAVE CHANGES] button under Basic Information or the system won’t pick up your edits. After that it can sometimes take up to 20 minutes for those changes to push through to the character builder. Also, you have to make it a “granted” feature, not “additional” or “replacement.” Finally, if you need help attaching your spells to the subclass, please see the Subclasses & Species FAQ #s 14 & 15 for helpful instructions: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq). That might make things easier for you to implement.
