Race not showing in character builder, subraces showing as their own races instead of under the race they are made for.

What im going for is the look that the Elves got going just as an example (pictured below) but instead my Elf Teifling subraces all show as their own races and not as subraces under a main race (also pictured below)

Below you can see that elfling is a race, and the others are subraces. Furthermore, i made sure that the parent race of all these subraces is the elfling. I can make them show under elves if i choose elf as the race group, but I do not want them to show under elves because they arent elves they are elflings.

Wow that’s dumb and annoying and bad design. If I deleted the subraces and reprogrammed them as choosable options for the base rase would the base race become visible again?

As long as you uncheck the “will have subraces” box and re-save the base race, then yes.
