Spell Points and various other optional rules are not currently supported in the Character Builder, as the focus is on ensuring that the standard rules are fully implemented and additional tools are delivered.
I know that the topic has been discussed previously, so it's something that may happen, but it's not on the current schedule.
There is no innate way to do this currently, but there is a workaround. You can create a homebrew magic item called Spell Points, and give it a number of charges equal to your max spell points. Then adding it to a character will put an item in the limited use section where you can manage this.

*Spells of 6th level and higher are particularly taxing to cast. You can use mana points to create one slot of each level of 6th or higher. You can't create another slot of the same level until you finish a long rest.
I feel like by now spell points should have been added, I get that it's a lot of groundwork but it's in the phb and I'd really kill to switch my campaign over if I could.
I really wish this was a thing that would have happened by now.... I like having Sorcerers use SP to make them feel mechanically different from Spell Slot Wizards, but the inability to support this in D&D Beyond is exceedingly frustrating.
Question/Help: Are "Spell Points" supported? If so, how to enable in the Character Builder. Thanks :)

I hope DnDBeyond adds Spell Points or else my players will not be able to use DnDBeyond for our games.

Is there any progress on this, as making the item/feat worked well but for multi-classing its a lot of working around.

So... it's been 4 years... any update on this?
Just wondering if this his on a timeline at all.

Just following up after all these years. If you are using the website instead of the app, you can use this user script to enact spell points:

I've tested it and it works.
