Hi! I'm not able to add the new spells to the expanded spell list, while the spells that where there before (I used a template when creating the subclass) are available, the ones I added are not. How can I fix this? I already tried changing the table and adding them with the adding spells feature, but nothing seems to work.
Sorry I think I didn't express myself, its the subclass that is homebrew, not the spells. Im trying to add spells such as Call lightining to my homebrew warlock's subclasss' expanded spell list but it wont let me. I started with the Fiend template for the homebrew and that I kept such as Command are still available to learn as well as those I suppousedly replaced but those I added aren't. Hope that clarifies it.
Hello, what level is the Warlock character you're testing this on? In order to add "Call Lightning" from your spell list you would need to be at least Level 5.
I too have this problem I’m pact of the Stormbringer and it gives me Stormbringer Expanded Spells but it doesn’t let me add the spells
Since that subclass is homebrewed, you will have to bring that up with its author, ScreamingBeef. They will have to create a new version of the subclass, fix it, and republish it. The hen you will have to delete the current version of the subclass from your collection and add the updated version. That is assuming they are willing to do that.
Also, that the reason the didn’t attach those spells to the subclass when they published it in the first place is because some of them are not free content spells, which would prevent publishing the subclass entirely. Namely: thunderous smite, destructive wave, Booming Blade, and Lightning Lure. There may be others, but I stopped checking at that point. So either they would have to replace those spells with different ones, or not update the subclass for you at all.
Not for nothing, but you’re probably better off. That subclass does not appear to be very well written. Some of the features’ wording doesn’t make complete sense, and I doubt they understand the warlock base class itself very well since they named it “Pact of the Stormbringer.” Warlock patrons (subclasses) are never named “Pact of the [Anything],” they are simply “The [Whatever].” The 3rd-level feature Pact Boon grants you choices named “Pact of the [Something],” and there are four somethings to choose from: Blade, Chain, Tome, and Talisman. Making a basic mistake like confusing a whole subclass with an Option from one of the base class features like that is usually a pretty strong indication that the author was less than well informed, and did not do their due diligence in playtesting, proofreading, editing, and revising their work prior to publishing it. They probably slapped it together in an hour or less, and then posted it without ever giving it another thought. I could be mistaken in that assumption, but I doubt I’m off by much.

Sounds like the same issue that I have:

Did you by any chance set a class limitation on your homebrew spell?
And if you did, did you not select a core-class, but a school within the list?

Did you change the additional specific spells section of the basic information page? Did you save after changing?

Yup that was totally it, thanks a lot, I didn't know I had to change that as well.
