I created a feat where the modifiers are supposed to be triggered by a bonus action and has limited uses tied to the characters proficiency bonus. However, when I add the feat to the character, the modifiers apply automatically regardless of if I mark of one of the limited uses. The only way to remove the modifiers is to remove the feat. I've tried creating a magic item that has the same effect, but I can't tie the uses to a characters proficiency bonus.

Temporary effects such as that are not supported by DDB. Please see the Homebrew Subclasses & Species FAQ, question #2 for more information: (https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/dungeons-dragons-discussion/homebrew-house-rules/131411-a-homebrewers-how-to-faq#HomebrewSubclasses&SpeciesFAQ).
