I don't see the Tentacle Rod's melee attacks in the Actions page on my character sheet. Just wondering if this will be added in the long term. I currently have added the action as a custom attack.

Bump. I know this thread is old but the issue hasn’t been addressed. 

Currently magic items are not able to have Actions added to them (and thus special attacks), as Actions were a function added after Magic Item integration. I'm happy to pass along the request! :)

 Bump. We are two months away from 3 years since this request was made. Can we PLEASE have the Tentacle Rod added to the "Actions" section?

I'm hoping this is something that's on their list at-least, make it easier or more convenient for players that get some cool and unique magic item. Such as the Tentacle Rod. 

I believe that adding Actions to magic items is indeed on their list, hopefully as part of the ongoing system features update they are currently working on.
