I am attempting to make a character similar to Fey Wanderer that has the ability to cast Summon Fey without needing spell slots 5 times per long rest.

I'm having lot's of difficulty creating it so that it appears as a spell with 5 uses per long rest, similar to that of how Hunter's Mark is showcased.

Dropdown? Where are you seeing a dropdown? Is it in the builder? It shouldn’t appear in any dropdown in the character builder, there shouldn’t even be a dropdown at all if you did it right. They should just get the spell directly on their character sheet.

Or do you mean in the dropdown in the homebrewer? If that’s what you mean, have you purchased the necessary sourcebook? If you are making this subclass for the 2024 versions of the class you must have the 2024 PHB. Right? Or are you making this for the 2014 ranger class? If so, have you purchased either the 2024 PHB or XGtE? If not the spell won’t be available to you.
